Check out this Bulletin Board that I did with Kindergarten. We looked at Louise Nevelson's work and created "Assemblages" using found materials. Then I put them all together like she did with her work!

We painted the small assemblages white using gesso

Grade 4 is starting their plaster MASKS! This time we did it outside and it was so much cleaner!!

Luckily we had a nice day!

YAM (Youth Art Month) is Here! At my school we have artwork at the MAEA show in Boston and at the Chelmsford Public Library!

"Sandy's Circus" a book about the artist Alexander Calder

To continue this unit on Calder we looked at his wire sculptures and line drawings and did some Blind Contour Drawings!  The kids loved doing this and the work was amazing!

we also drew toy animals!

Printmaking with Grades 2 and 3!! Just discovered Gelli Arts Printing Plates - love them!

Great for Monoprinting! (of course kids had to share the printing plates), 

but that's a good lesson in itself!
